General Information

Abilify Ireland (generic name: Aripiprazole) represents an antipsychotic medication, which functions by altering the performance of chemicals located inside the human brain. Abilify Ireland is prescribed to cure the arising symptoms of various psychotic conditions, like bipolar I disorder (i.e. manic depression) as well as schizophrenia. It is not confirmed if Aripiprazole is totally safe and works effectively among children of 13 years old and younger suffering from schizophrenia, or children with age less than 10 years old suffering from bipolar disorder.

  • Fever accompanied by stiff muscles and rapid heartbeat rate;
  • Symptoms appearing suddenly (e.g. acute headache, abnormal weakness or sudden numbness as well as any anomalies with vision, as well as balance or speech;
  • Uncontrolled muscle movements.

It is prohibited to use Abilify Ireland if you are known to have allergic reactions to taking Aripiprazole. In case of Dementia it is not allowed to take Abilify. Aripiprazole can result in higher fatality risks among elder patients suffering from Dementia.

To ensure Abilify Ireland is totally unharmful for you, maintain contact with your physician and inform if you experience:

Abilify Ireland in a liquid form may have up to 15g of sugar per each dose. Abilify may also cause you to start having high concentrations of blood sugar. In case of diabetes it is advised to frequently monitor the levels of blood sugar. Abilify oral tablet may contain more than 3 mg of Phenylalanine per each tablet. Hence, prior to initiating treatment with Abilify Discmelt, highlight the possibility of you having Phenylketonuria to the pharmacist.


Adults can start with the dose of 10 or 15 mg/day, which is to be taken once a day. Based on systematic evaluations, Abilify displayed effectiveness for a dosage range of 10 – 30 mg/day, if taken in a form of tablet; however, in case of doses above 10 – 15 mg/day there is no any additional effectiveness being revealed. In general, the increase in dosage is not allowed to happen before the period of 2 weeks, which is the necessary time to achieve the steady-state conditions.

For adolescents, the suitable Abilify dosage is 10 mg/day. Aripiprazole has been studied among adolescent patients of 13 – 17 years old with daily dosage of 10 mg and 30 mg respectively to treat schizophrenia. Initially the tablet dose per day for patients was 2 mg, and then it was further titrated to a dose of 5 mg after the treatment continued for 2 days and with further increase to the final 10 mg dosage after 2 additional days. Any further dosage increases should be increased by 5 mg only. The dose of 30 mg per day has not yet shown any drastic improvement in effectiveness comparing to the 10 mg/day dosage. Abilify Ireland can be taken before or after meals.

Side Effects

Seek for emergency assistance if you have start observing any of the following:

  • Difficulties in breathing;
  • Hives;
  • Swollen throat, tongue, face and/or lips.

Common Abilify side effects are as follows:

  • Blurred vision;
  • Weight gain;
  • Drooling;
  • Vomiting, changes in appetite, constipation;
  • Dizziness, nausea, headache, feeling tired, drowsiness;
  • Restlessness, anxiety;
  • Sleep problems (insomnia);
  • Cold symptoms, like frequent sneezing, abnormally stuffy nose as well as sore throat.
